Impact Sheds Light on EvenTech Scotland
Displaying a wide range of LED fixtures from Chauvet, Impact was the only supplier to be exhibiting lighting at the show. Utilising three-chord AstraLite trussing from Litestructures, Impact demonstrated the control and RGB colour-mixing capabilities of the US manufacturer's COLORado 1, 3 and 6 wash and panel lights and the moving head Q-Wash LED, all to great interest.
Adding to the atmosphere was the full Vue series of static and rotating moonflower effects, offering individual RGB or RGBWY colour control as well as blackout and strobe options, whilst the RGB Technostrobe added dimming to the impressive list of functions available from the effects range.
Something not often seen at an affordable price is an effects-packed blue laser, but Impact also surprised the audience with the B50 from Lanta, featuring an extremely bright single blue 50mW diode. With manual, automatic, sound activated and eight channel DMX control, the compact fixture comes complete with a range of effects and an isolating key switch.
Discussing the wide range of products displayed, Impact's business manager Keith Williams said: "As well as lighting products, we are also a leading supplier of professional sound equipment and were delighted at the reaction to the ranges of speaker systems we were displaying. The Brooke XPRO range of multi-purpose cabinets was particularly well received, being both very affordable and working perfectly both as a stage monitor and main speaker."
It wasn't just the lighting on offer that helped Impact get noticed at EvenTech. The versatile three-chord AstraLite trussing from which their stand was quickly and easily constructed stood out from the rest because of its eye-catching red powder coating finish.
Commenting on the overall success of the show, Williams said: "EvenTech Scotland is a great opportunity to reach our customers in the north of the country and proved to be an extremely worthwhile show."
