Visual Productions' Canvix Chosen for Matrix Control by ID&T
Trance Energy is one of Europe's leading dance events, and this year show organiser ID&T catered for a gathering of 30,000 people in the Jaarbeurs venue in Utrecht, Netherlands.
One of the four dance areas was fitted with 1,472 LED Parcans from Belgium supplier Pixelscreen. Software lighting control manufacturer, Visual Productions, saw two of their Canvix systems selected to control the LEDs that were broken up into two matrix arrangements. On stage a matrix of 64 x 16 supplied a vibrant backdrop for the DJ's while a 36 x 16 matrix split into eight sections, hung above the dance floor.
The Canvix matrix servers were controlled by the matrix operator through VisualTouch software interface for quick content selection and a MIDI control surface for hands-on fader control. Master intensities and final colour schemes were controlled by the main operator's High End Road Hog console over DMX
