CSS at work in Gloucestershire
The Cheltenham Stage Service (CSS) installation team have had a busy winter completing lighting and sound Installation at Newent Community School, St Edwards School, University of Gloucestershire's University Chapel and Barnwood Park Arts College.
After a disastrous roof collapsing at Newent School, they unexpectedly launched into a major re-fit! The school wanted to upgrade the dimmer capability to 24 channels and digital patching unit. The installation included a new 63 Amp 3 phase mains and a Strand Wall rack 24 to distribute to the seven lighting bars, along with four Robe 250AT moving heads.
An extensive sound, lighting and video installation took place at St Edward's Senior School in Cheltenham. The new build comprises two interconnecting drama studios, both of which can operate independently, or in conjunction with each other. The equipment included Selecon lanterns, a Strand 6 pack dimmer, Zero88 Jester desks, Electro-Voice SxA100+, Allen and Heath Mix Wizard desks and BSS FCS-966 graphics and radio microphones. A Christie Digital LX40 4000 Lumen LCD Projector system was installed. This installation has greatly enhanced the options that were available to the students at the school.
Barnwood Park and the University Chapel were both installation upgrades on the systems that they already had in place and from this they can now provide a wide variety of services for their clients.
Lee Dreezer, CSS's head of operations says: "The installs department is a growing area of the company and the relationships that we have created with venues and the suppliers have been invaluable for us."
