Richard Martin Lighting Purchase Alpha Beam 300s

Richard Martin Lighting have just increased their immense moving light portfolio by purchasing 48 Alpha Beam 300's, manufactured by Italian lighting company Clay Paky.
Their debut appearance for RML on Comic Relief 2009, lit by LD Chris Kempton, proved a resounding success. "I just think that gobo beams are so dated now; these new units gave me an excellent beam light, and their compact size allowed me to use them in groups on the show," said Chris.
They also appeared on a recent episode of Blue Peter alongside a prehistoric T Rex life-like model, the main star in the upcoming show ‘Walking with Dinosaurs' at the O2 Centre this August. Blue Peter LD Lee Allen commented: "The Alpha Beam 300 outputs so much light for such a small foot print, so when one has to fill Studio 1 at Television Centre with nice tight bright beams behind a 26 foot T Rex, they did the job. The throws we achieved with them were long and the gobo worked well to bring in the changes throughout the show."
The light produces a super concentrated near parallel light beam, for use very similar to that of a Par 64 ACL, always present in all the big Rock n Roll shows, but with superior and innovative features.
The new, special Clay Paky optical group, with a 300W lamp, produces three times the brightness of an ordinary 1200 W wash projector, generating an extraordinary "tube of light" with a natural beam of 8?.
Richard Martin Lighting's decision to invest in these particular moving heads was influenced by feedback and subsequent demand from existing clients since the Beam was released eight months ago.
