Stage Technologies Wins Queen's Award

Stage Technologies has announced that the company is the proud recipient of the Queen's Award for Enterprise 2009 in the category of International Trade.

The Queen's Awards for Enterprise are the UK's most prestigious awards for business performance. They recognise and reward outstanding achievement by UK companies and are presented in three separate categories: International Trade, Innovation and Sustainable Development. The Awards are made each year by The Queen, on the advice of the Prime Minister, who is assisted by an Advisory Committee that includes representatives of Government, industry and commerce, and the trade unions.

2009 marks the 16th year since the formation of Stage Technologies and, during that time, the company has excelled in pioneering automation technology in live performance industries across the world.

This is the second time that Stage Technologies has received the honour of a Queen's Award, the first occasion being in 2003 in the same category for its ‘outstanding international trade performance'. Following on from this acknowledgement, this year's Award has been bestowed in part due to an 84% increase in overseas revenue over a three-year period. With a sustained upward trend in exports and 40% more jobs created in the UK alone, this is an exceptional level of growth, especially in the current economic climate.  In addition, Stage Technologies now has permanent offices in Las Vegas, Melbourne, Trieste, Hong Kong and Macau.

Just over six months ago, Stage Technologies merged with Delstar Engineering to broaden its skills pool and boost in-house manufacturing capability.  The additional capacity this brings will further increase export opportunities for the precision automation engineering solutions that have already brought both companies international renown and concrete reputations. As before, this year's Award highlights Stage Technologies' achievements as a market leader in stage engineering and will provide a great encouragement to staff, instil a sense of accomplishment in industry partners and suppliers and give our customers yet another cause for conviction in our abilities.

The company would like to thank everyone who has contributed to putting Stage Technologies at the forefront of our industry and look forward to continuing to provide automation systems and infrastructures that inspire creative trail blazing and production excellence in entertainment venues and performances worldwide.

Representatives from the company will attend an evening reception at Buckingham Palace to be hosted by The Queen and the actual award will be presented at the Neasden offices in the summer of this year.
