Arcstream AV make Red Dwarf Interactive
Arcstream AV gave a futuristic feel to the VIP advanced screening of Red Dwarf: Back To Earth, held at the Mayfair Hotel in London by providing its Multi Touch Screen.
Three new episodes of the science fiction comedy Red Dwarf will be shown on UKTV channel Dave, the home of witty banter, to celebrate the 21st anniversary of the show. The VIP screening showed the three new episodes in their entirety and was attended by cast members and celebrity guests including John Culshaw.
Arcstream AV installed a 60" Multi Touch Screen for client Momentum Events which featured video taster clips of the new episodes and character profiles, created by UKTV. The Multi Touch Screen reacts to touch by sensing the unique infrared signature of fingerprints touching the surface, therefore allowing more than one person to manipulate the data at any time.
Mary Silk, project manager for Momentum Events explained: "The launch guests really had fun playing with the interactive screen. The system was a great fit with the Dave and Red Dwarf experience that UKTV were looking to extend beyond the screening suite, as well as a playful way to add a bit of interactive branding to the party."
