J&C Joel Announce New Director
Tony Griffiths (pictured) has joined the J&C Joel board of directors. Tony has worked for the company for five years and brings 20 years' experience in the entertainment industry to the company. He previously worked for Harkness Hall and Pfaff PCM in the project management, installation and design of stage machinery, trussing/hoists, tracking and drapes.
Tony adds a wealth of experience in both management and industry knowledge. He holds a masters degree in Management from Liverpool University and was instrumental in the winning of two PLASA awards for Innovation. The first for the Slingco Uni-Bar and the second for the J&C Joel/ PCM Pile wind winch. He was also a member of the committee MH 3 13 that wrote the British technical standard BS 7905-1 for Lifting Equipment for Performance, Broadcast and similar applications.
He has worked on projects such as the New Liverpool ACCL Arena, National Theatre (studio space) London, Royal Horticultural Halls and the Stables Theatres.
Tony commented: "To become a director is something I have strived and worked towards since joining J&C Joel. I am very proud to be part of a team that is working to ensure J&C Joel remain at the forefront of the industry in the supply of theatrical fabric, drapes and stage machinery."
