New Dates and Venue Announced for eventech Scotland 2010
evenTech Scotland show organiser, Scattered Media Ltd, has announced that the 2010 edition of the increasingly popular regional exhibition and networking forum will move from the SECC to the Grand Ballroom of the Thistle Glasgow from 10-11 February next year.
The move of venue is a result of extensive canvassing of exhibitor and visitor opinions by the organiser on the key elements of success for a regional forum, such as evenTech.
Darren Brechin of Scattered Media comments: "The inaugural evenTech Scotland in 2008 was staged in the intimate setting of the Glasgow Marriott and for its second instalment this year was moved to the much larger SECC. The rationale and foundations which underpin our vision for the evenTech series are based on the principles of a creating a focused and intimate networking forum specific for each region we operate in, giving exhibitors the opportunity not only to showcase their latest product ranges but to also allow the industry to network in a relaxed environment."
The Thistle Glasgow, which has recently undertaken a £1.2 million refurbishment of its Grand Ballroom, offers an ideal platform for such an event with a vast floor area for exhibition stands and a large break-out foyer area with bars and catering facilities. This will allow exhibitors and visitors the opportunity to discuss business away from the confines of their stands in a comfortable, relaxed environment. In addition to this, dedicated seminar rooms are located on the same floor next to the venue and have easy access to and from the hall.
Brechin continues: "The move to the SECC this year was a success in terms of business being done and new contacts being made but we feel that the show lacked the ambience and cosiness that was experienced and enjoyed by all the previous year and this is something not only we but our exhibitors and visitors alike would like to re-create for 2010. Moving to the Thistle Glasgow allows us the opportunity to create a true networking forum conducive to doing business in this manner."
