Black Light Confirmed as Platinum Sponsor for eventech Scotland 2010
black light - one of Scotland's largest leading independent specialists in professional lighting, staging, sound and audio visual equipment and hosts of the popular black light open day previously held in Edinburgh and Glasgow - have confirmed their participation at evenTech Scotland 2010 by seizing the opportunity to be the Platinum Sponsor for next February's showcase at the Thistle Glasgow.
Gavin Stewart, managing director of black light comments on the alliance: "Following the success of the black light open days in previous years it was a logical step to work in harmony with evenTech Scotland. It will allow us to create a more structured all-encompassing single event. We want to serve the broad spectrum of the Scottish entertainment and installation technology industry as best we can. We are delighted to have teamed up with evenTech Scotland and are very excited about the forthcoming show. The choice of new venue for 2010 should allow the event to flourish into the intimate networking forum that we have all been looking for to serve this part of the country. This is a long term undertaking and I really want it to work for all."
Darren Brechin of Scattered Media, the organisers of evenTech Scotland added: "We are delighted to have the support of black light not only as an exhibitor but as a strategic partner and major show sponsor. Their experience of hosting the black light open days can only enhance the value that evenTech Scotland brings to the Scottish and North of England market place and we are delighted that their involvement opens new doors for the show with respect to the different types of technologies that will be on display."
The new venue, the Thistle Glasgow which has recently undertaken a £1.2 million refurbishment of its Grand Ballroom offers an ideal platform for such an event with a vast floor area for exhibition stands and a large break out foyer area with bars and catering facilities. This will allow exhibitors and visitors the opportunity to discuss business away from the confines of their stands in a comfortable, relaxed environment. In addition to this, dedicated seminar rooms are located on the same floor next to the venue and have easy access to and from the hall.
