Selecon and Strand Show Together at ABTT for First Time Under Philips Banner
On the 1st April 2009 Selecon joined Strand Lighting under the umbrella of the Entertainment Group within Philips Professional Luminaires and this year's ABTT show in London will see the two lighting companies exhibit side by side for the fist time. The powerful combination of Strand dimming / control and the wide range of Selecon luminaires now present the industry with a real alternative to current manufacturers.
Selecon will be showing its comprehensive range of theatrical and display luminaires including the new Selecon Display Profile which delivers accurate beam shaping, two beam angles ranges, 15°-35° and 25°-50°, and precision projection optics. Designed around Selecon's core principles of precision, performance, simplicity and safety, the SDP combines high light output and superb beam quality with the capability to record and maintain design specifications, control and consistency.
Also on show will be the Rama 80V 175 High Performance Fresnel which produces a beam approaching the visual output of a mains voltage 2.0kW Fresnel which explains why this luminaire is currently being specified across Europe by venues with energy efficiency on their minds. This operator-friendly luminaire is available with your choice of either an 80V independent variable output power supply with direct DMX control or a standard 80V power supply for 220-240V dimmer output connection.
Strand's Palette VL consoles build on the most successful lighting control operating system to bring you PaletteOS, a high resolution point/click graphic environment to unleash your creativity and speed up workflow. At its core the PaletteOS is all about real world control with simple direct operation to record cues and set levels, coupled with an intuitive approach to moving light control. Colours quickly match to the colour filters you know, gobos rotate in RPM not DMX values and the displays deliver real information that you need all the time. Available in two models one with 16 Sub masters and one with 64 sub masters means that there is a Palette VL to meet your needs.
Philips Entertainment Lighting is on stand No 116.
