Strong Exhibitor and Association Support for eventech Ireland

The second staging of evenTech Ireland being held at the historical RDS exhibition halls in Dublin from 17-18 November is receiving strong industry backing from industry associations and exhibitors alike.
Key industry associations are seeing the benefit that the evenTech regional forums bring to the industry. The Institute of Sound and Communication Engineers (ISCE), the Association of Irish Stage Technicians (AIST), the Production Services Association (PSA) and the Association of Lighting Designers (ALD) have all confirmed their support and involvement for evenTech Ireland 2009.
Ros Wigmore, secretariat manager of the ISCE comments: "By associating ourselves with various regional exhibitions we are able to touch base with so many people that knew so little about the benefits of ISCE membership.
"We are delighted to be working together with the evenTech team. Our participation at their exhibitions will give the ISCE an opportunity to support our regional members, as well as raising the Institute's profile. With quite an emphasis on training during the downturn, the presence of the ISCE and the training that we can offer can only reinforce this.
"There is an old adage that says ‘Always look for the good in the bad'. The bad has been the recession, but the good has been that companies have become more appreciative of the need for the ultimate in company service which goes hand on hand with the need to be competent in the face of the opposition. We are confident that evenTech in Ireland and Scotland are golden opportunities to prove the point."
This support is also reflected on the show floor with exhibitors continuing to sign up again for evenTech Ireland's second year.
Yamaha's Karl Christmas, explains: "For Yamaha, the previous evenTech show in Dublin was a great opportunity to meet a large number of audio professionals that wouldn't normally travel to other EU shows or events, so we'd never get to meet them. It was refreshing to find such a high level of commitment towards audio quality and the embracing of new technologies. For that reason, we look forward to involving ourselves in the seminars that will be taking place at evenTech this year, as well creating a database for our own forthcoming training tours that we will be holding across the Republic."
Murt Whelan from Murt Whelan Sound, a leading Irish sound rental company, also commented: "Following our successful participation at the first evenTech Ireland we have already booked a larger space for 2009 and we are looking forward to another successful show."
