NEXO GEO S Channels Dalai Lama for 10,000 in Amsterdam

During his recent visit to the Netherlands, the Dalai Lama gave two lectures to packed houses in the RAI Convention Centre in Amsterdam. The venue, which was totally re-decorated for the occasion, seats 10,000+ people per session.
Amsterdam-based company, ACS audiovisual solutions, was responsible for the entire technical production, including audio, lighting and video, as well as seating and stage decoration.
ACS is a long-term user of NEXO's most compact line array design, the GEO S8, which has the ideal performance spec for an event like this, which relies absolutely on crystal-clear vocal delivery and even coverage throughout a large hall.
The system design by ACS featured two FOH hangs, each comprising 15 GEO S805 plus a GEO S830 downfill module. Two outfill hangs each carried 23 GEO S805 plus a GEO S830, and the back bleachers of the RAI hall were covered by two delay hangs of seven GEO S805.
The entire system was driven by five NEXO NX 242 digital controllers and nine Camco Vortex 6 amplifiers.
