Green Hippo Launches New Egyptian Distributor
Green Hippo Ltd continues to grow its global distribution network with the addition of Hi Lights Egypt. Hi Lights are the largest company in Egypt specialising in the entertainment and media field. Established in 1993 as a professional lighting solution and owned by Hamad Arafa, their Cairo office is involved in projects from TV shows to concerts to corporate events and were an ideal choice to distribute the Green Hippo range of Hippoptizer media servers.
Initially introduced to the Hippotizer Media Server via Johan West of Westlighting, Hi Lights have been working with Hippotizers for many years. Used recently on the Egyptian version of the popular TV show ‘Don't forget the Lyrics' a Hippotizer HD ran one LED screen, three LED walls a projector and LED fixtures. Hi lights were particularly pleased that they could run the Hippotizer with a DMX lighting console and control both the light and LEDs with cues set up to ensure they changed simultaneously.
Said Hamad Arafa CEO of High Lights: "We needed a powerful and flexible media server to use in various situations.and we certainly found that Hippotizer is best for the job. It has a flexibility that makes it possible to use in every project we desire and adds a whole new level of professional media management..As a lighting company we have previously used other media servers but since we bought Hippo's we almost stopped using any other servers."
With the exclusive distribution rights for Egypt Hi Lights are focusing on promoting the Hippotizer to their key customers and have a 24 metre square booth booked at the Arab Media Festival in November showing Hippotizer. Said Samantha Bailey of Green Hippo: "We are really pleased to be working with Hi Lights. They are absolutely the right company for us in Egypt and we are very excited about the many opportunities that they are bringing for Hippotizer."
