Alcons at PLASA 2009

The annual PLASA show in London gives Alcons Audio the opportunity to demonstrate its latest innovations. This year's main focus will be on the LR7 and LR7B, the latest additions to the highly successful L-series pro-ribbon line arrays.
The LR7 is a micro pro-ribbon line-array system, designed to be used in stacked or flown configuration, for both portable and permanent installations. With a width of three CD's and a height of one-and-a-half CD's, the LR7 is ideal for A/V projects, where very compact form factor with perfect line-array throw and imaging are required. At the show, Alcons will introduce a new, unique feature, extending the flexibility of the LR7 even further.
The new LR7B is the low frequency extension of the LR7 system. Sized with a width and height of three CD's, a single 12" in a dual-tuned, concentric bandpass configuration caters for clean low-mid and broad-band bass response from a micro-sized and weight efficient package.
As an annual Alcons feature, Alcons will exhibit a new design study, providing a glimpse of its R+D activities by displaying assembled prototype developments, some of which may be applied in future products. This year's design study is called "MSRA, Modular Stacked Ribbon Array". This evolutionary concept is a scalable high-power line-source monitor system, based on vertically stacked modules, applying the excellent (cylindrical) arrayability of Alcons' proprietary pro-ribbon technology.
To enable visitors to get an idea of the quality performance of Alcons sound systems, low-SPL demo's will take place on the stand, with the VR8 compact monitor and the BF151 bass system.
Of course, a selection of other Alcons highlights will be on display as well on stand J18.
