beyerdynamic to Launch a Host of New Products at IBC
German manufacturer beyerdynamic is launching a number of new products at this year's IBC show in Amsterdam's RAI Exhibition Centre. New products include the eagerly awaited DT 790 and DT 797 headsets, the DT 290 broadcast performance headset and version 2.0 of its groundbreaking 5.1 Monitoring Headphone Systems, Headzone PRO and Headzone Pro XT.
The beyerdynamic DT 790 and DT 797 headsets are designed for communications in high-noise environments, delivering the highest audio quality and speech intelligibility. The DT 790, with dynamic microphone, has been primarily developed for use by cameramen and sound engineers, while the DT 797, with condenser microphone, has been developed for use by reporters and commentators in live broadcasting environments such as sports events.
The show will also see beyerdynamic introduce a significant firmware upgrade to its unique Headzone PRO and Headzone PRO XT systems. Designed as the first professional headphone system with virtual 5.1 reproduction, Headzone version 2.0 adds improved localisation of the virtual loudspeakers and enhanced headtracking functionality and the PRO XT benefits from a new, adjustable 4-band parametric equaliser for comprehensive audio adjustment, allowing the user full control of their virtual environment.
Other products being exhibited include the new DT 290 series broadcast performance headsets, with ultra flexible microphone boom and the MC 900 True condenser microphone series. You can visit beyerdynamic at IBC 2009, Stand D61, Hall 8 from the 11th to 15th September.
Polar Audio has exclusive distribution of beyerdynamic in the UK.
