PLASA got a sneak peek last year of BLACKBOX, the world's first combination of hardware + positioning + interconnecting + communicating + speed. In case you missed it, BLACKBOX uses a new wysiwyg.bb proprietary "CAD-type" software which defines the parameter (establishing "0"0"0"). BlackBox receives/converts live positional data about any/many moving objects, establishes the exact 3D positions of those objects, computes instructions in XYZ, yaw, pitch and roll terms, and shoots out moving positional information so moving lights, set pieces, cameras etc. are synchronized and tracking to the action of those moving objects, all at a speeds of 50MHz.
This year at PLASA CAST will welcome the newest BLACKBOX partner, Ubisense, the world leader in Precise Real Time Location Systems, tracking people and assets with unmatched accuracy, and giving enterprises the power to bring visibility and control to previously intractable business processes. See with your own eyes how light can track moving objects or people; all-new safety demonstrations; or walk around the booth with an RFID tag and listen as the sound follows you!
Also, meet the guys from Sandsys. Yngve will be spending time with CAST working towards BLACKBOX speaking Sandnet protocols, with a view that it will all migrate through to ACN in the future. A streaming ACN version will be available during PLASA.
Other BLACKBOX partners will be on hand as well, including Timax, Niscon and grandMA, who are all connecting with CAST to make BLACKBOX a reality.
Meet the inventors too!
