Delta Sound Boosts L-Acoustics Inventory with 36-box KUDO System

Delta Sound has taken delivery of a 36-box KUDO system from L-Acoustics. This purchase also includes 16 SB28 subs and the new LA-RAKs fitted with LA8 amplified controllers.

"This investment has arrived at the right time for us," says Delta Sound managing director Paul Keating. "Not only have we invested in a new L-Acoustics KUDO system but we are also joining forces with Sound By Design. We've been looking at market sectors away from our traditional ones and SBD has a strong position in the venue market. This is something that has interested us over the last couple of years and with accreditations at a raft of London's top venues, the move made great sense to all parties.

"The extreme flexibility of the system will allow us to provide complete audio solutions for just about all eventualities. With the new LA-RAK at the heart of the products, we have now been able to optimize our existing stocks of KIVA, dV-DOSC and now KUDO. This system brings us the tools to work on large scale outdoor events one day, and it to be installed as a house system the next. We will now be able to offer new and existing clients of both companies the significant benefit of our complementary skill sets and combined equipment portfolios."

Both companies will be operating from Delta's current HQ near Hampton Court in Surrey.

"It is testament to the products that Delta Sound have continued to build on their existing L-Acoustics inventory and now see the benefits that KUDO can bring," says Stuart Down, sales manager for L-Acoustics UK. "Delta Sound is one of the leading suppliers for large scale events in the UK. KUDO is a great fit given the flexibility of the system offered by the K-Louver variable controlled dispersion. This in conjunction with the LA8 amplified controllers, which benefit from a new 25Hz preset, means the system really can deliver the full range SPL for the scale of events that Delta Sound is working on."

Prior to the purchase, a two-day KUDO training course was completed at L-Acoustics' premises by Steve Lutley and Sergey Becker, designer and project engineer and system engineer respectively of Delta Sound.
