Renkus-Heinz to Host Digital Audio Seminars at PLASA09

In two special free seminars at PLASA09 on Tuesday September 15th, Renkus-Heinz are offering a free opportunity to explore how Iconyx Digital Beam Steering loudspeakers, along with RHAON digital networking, are transforming acoustically difficult spaces around the world into highly useable, profitable, successful spaces.

"Many audio professionals, installers and architects haven't yet had the opportunity to see and hear for themselves why and how the Iconyx series and RHAON (Renkus-Heinz Audio Operations Network), has already been so successful in the US and elsewhere," said Margie Ulm, Renkus-Heinz marketing manager. "These two free live seminars at PLASA offer audio pros and architects the chance to find out."

Both sessions will be held in the Whitehall Room at PLASA09 on Tuesday September 15th and will feature the new IC LIVE digitally steerable array for live applications.

The first seminar, at 11:00-12:00 am, is titled ‘RHAON - Demystifying Digital Networking'.

It will provide a clear definition of digital audio and control networks, and explain the Renkus-Heinz RHAON solution. Brief case studies and a hands-on demonstration will highlight the technical, sonic and cost benefits.

RHAON, which offers CobraNet digital audio delivery, networked control and supervision, and user programmable DSP in every box over a single Ethernet Cat5, allows any self-powered loudspeaker from Renkus-Heinz's product range to form part of a networked solution. The seminar is aimed at sound designers, technicians, system consultants, and integrated solution providers.

At 5:00-6:00 pm, the second seminar is ‘Iconyx & IC Live - Bringing Digital Beam Steering to Live Sound'.

Again featuring an IC Live system for the presentation, it shows the theory behind digitally steerable loudspeaker technology and demonstrates the end results.

The seminar will compare its benefits with traditional solutions, and show how it resolves challenging acoustic spaces by enabling system designers to aim sound at the audience and away from reflective surfaces, minimizing echoes and improving intelligibility. The new IC Live, in its first UK live demonstration, brings this technology to the live sound market in a higher power, portable format. This seminar is aimed at sound designers, technicians, system consultants, integrated solution providers, acoustic consultants and architects.

Both seminars will be presented by Rik Kirby, V.P. Operations of Renkus-Heinz, Inc. Any PLASA09 registered visitor can attend either seminar free of charge. Seats can be reserved online in advance at www.plasashow.com/education.
