Tomcat at PLASA in White Light Zone
Tomcat will present at PLASA 2009 the Tomcat one range with the Stacking Truss, Stacking Cube, he Trolley and the "Tower One" kit; and the Classic range with the Medium Duty spigoted and Light Duty spigoted trusses.
Tomcat One achieves a perfect balance of substance and style, making it ideal for exhibition and retail purposes. Each truss member is highly polished to provide a finish unique to all Tomcat products. Not to be outshined, Tomcat One offers two different aluminium connections both for ease of construction. The epic connector provides a tool free assembly with its quick and simple twist type connection and the genderless conical connector provides exceptional support.
In particular, the Stacking truss also provides a space saving solution without the high cost of other products. Stacking truss transports with such efficiency that a grid of 18m x 18m takes half the space of a similarly sized grid of standard box truss. Additionally, a host of corners, towers and other accessories complement Tomcat's line of truss.
The Classic Series is the market leader in the trussing world. These trusses are sturdy, solid, reliable and - indestructible. They have been manufactured for more than 15 years with a faultless history.
At Plasa 2009 Tomcat presents the two most successful and imitated trusses, Light Duty spigoted and Medium Duty spigoted. Many of Tomcat's classic products have been copied but their quality has proved to be unbeatable. The way Tomcat makes them has never changed over so many years, only the production and engineering capacity increased thanks to the recent Vitec Group's incorporation. These trusses are still amongst the very few standard setting trusses on the market.
They are certified according to ANSI standards with the highest safety factors - i.e. 8:1 - thus reducing deflection on the whole span. They find applications in the touring industry, but they are absolutely multipurpose.
Remo Martufi, Tomcat export sales manager, states: "Since its beginning, PLASA has always been an important show for Tomcat. Even as we changed our small Wirral based factory for the large Staging Systems Europe set up in Italy we still feel that PLASA is our "home" show.
Since last year we initiated distributorships, and in the UK we found a dependable partner in White Light. That, plus the fact that we don't want to show yet another Truss stand, we chose to only display a couple of "Classics", a Tomcat One tower sample and a trolley with the One Stacking trusses on their exhibition space in Earls Court 2. By now everyone connected to the entertainment industry, knows what trusses are for and how to use them. Instead I will be at the White Light Zone during this year's PLASA and anyone who wants to get introduced or wants to chat about Tomcat is more than welcome.
"As I travel quite a bit, I'm always excited to see Tomcat trusses and roof systems that have been sold - for instance, 15 or more years ago, and are still being used without any problem or failure. Although I strongly believe that any serious truss should retire after five to seven years of hard work, a lot of our "oldies" are still standing strong. Any industry senior will confirm Tomcat's "Bomb Proof" qualities. Tomcat stands for safety and quality, after all the people that find themselves on or under our trusses are our main concern."
