Xavier Pion Heads up APG International Sales and Marketing

French loudspeaker manufacturers APG, has announced the appointment of Xavier Pion to handle its international sales and marketing. The move follows the recent launch of a number of highly innovative new products including the UNILINE high power compact line array system and a high quality stage monitor speaker, the SMX15.

According to APG general manager and shareholder, Gregory Dapsanse, the move could not have come at a better time for the company. "Something we've always been proud of at APG is the level of personal contact we maintain with the customer. We have always been dedicated to their needs and to providing the highest quality and best-sounding products possible," he remarked. "I am delighted to say that as a result, unlike many companies in the pro audio market today, we actually increased our turnover and market share last year, and improved our profitability despite the difficult economic climate. We had been thinking for some time that we were ready to move up a gear, particularly where the international market is concerned, so when we heard that Xavier was available, it all dovetailed perfectly."

Pion agrees wholeheartedly. "I met with APG at a time when, for the first time in their 30-year history, they really had a complete range of live sound and public address loudspeaker products to offer to market. However, although they have a solid base of faithful and passionate customers which has made them what they are today, what they don't yet have, and are in the process of building, is a comprehensive international distribution network. This, of course, is where I come in, and I am really looking forward to building the brand on an international level."

"APG is a company that truly listens to its customers and works on real partnerships in order to satisfy their technical and artistic needs," continued Pion. "They are working on a lot of challenging new projects, and their constant investment in R&D is bearing the fruit they deserve. I really feel that APG is on the brink of a new era - they now have a range of products that can hold its head up against any of the major brands and it's my job to let the world know about it - frankly, I can't wait!"
