Busy Christmas Season for Hawthorns
Hawthorns' Projects Team were very busy over the Christmas period supplying individual events and working as in-house suppliers at many leading party venues across the UK. Over 90,000 people attended a Christmas party where Hawthorns supplied the technical infrastructure.
As well as Christmas and New Year parties, the team worked on conferences and road shows for blue chip companies, product launches for leading car manufacturers, graduation ceremonies, celebrity weddings, Christmas Light ‘switch ons' and the Boat Show.
Rex Howard Drapes, a division of Hawthorns, also had a bumper winter season supplying drapes to the TV industry. Once again this included huge ‘names' such as The X Factor, Strictly Come Dancing, EastEnders, The Alan Titshmarsh Show, CBeebies and the new series of Ashes to Ashes.
Hawthorn's MD, Martin Hawthorn, commented: "2009 has been a challenging year for all businesses so we were delighted to have such a successful Christmas season. We have continued to invest in new equipment throughout 2009, most recently expanding our stock of LED video wall and video cloths - both of which are being supplied to the TV industry from January 2010."
