On 1 December 2009, the K&F Nomos XLC was presented to K&F Distributors and an international audience at a one-of-a-kind experimental showing of Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. The event was the combination of a gigantic movie screening on a 23 metre HD screen and a live show with over 200 musicians and singers.

Over 2,000 people in d'Coque follows the frightened Frodo Beutlin surpassing himself and suddenly wants to save the entire middle-earth or how Aragorn swings his sword. The lights had just been switched off when the renowned orchestra Sinfonietta Cracovia and the INECC Choir Luxembourg, led by the conductor Ludwig Wicki, started to play. Gently yet hauntingly, they underscored the pictures from the New Zealand producer Peter Jackson, who created a true classic with his Lord of the Rings trilogy from 2001 to 2003.

For the event, 22 line array elements K&F Sequenza 10 N/Ws with six Sequenza 10Bs were used. The new cardioid subwoofer K&F Nomos XLC with 3 x 18" chassis also celebrated its successful premiere. As front fill speakers and stage monitors, six CA 1001s and four CA 106s were used. All speakers were operated using 10 K&F SystemRacks.

The press and the organisers praised the high quality of the acoustics during the event. The Centre National Sportif et Culturel (d'Coque) is the largest sports arena in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and, until now, had been generally viewed as having "difficult" acoustics.
