Kling & Freitag Workshop at LIPA with VME

Kling & Freitag Workshop at LIPA with VME

On February 4, Dion Davie, head of VME,.British agents for Kling & Freitag sound systems, organised the first K&F workshop at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, famous for its Sir Paul McCartney and producer George Martin connections.

The workshop actually took place in the Paul McCartney Theatre within the renovated and venerable old school complex attended by Paul. All LIPA students specialising in technology were invited to attend.

Lecturer David Ludz was in charge of the technical support for Kling & Freitag and was assisted actively by VME with the substantial equipment of K&F systems - the brand new NOMOS XLC was contributed by Hanover-based K&F.

The training focused on the recent Kling & Freitag products: Sequenza 10 line array, Sequenza 10B subwoofer, Con:Sequenza simulation software, CD 44 digital controller, CD 44 remote software and the Nomos XLC 3x18" cardioid subwoofer.

The K&F workshop ran for nearly seven hours and included detail of practical experience with the systems. Chris Layton, lecturer at LIPA, confirmed that the workshop had been received enthusiastically by both the participants and the organisers, and that this was certainly not the last workshop to include Kling & Freitag sound systems at LIPA.
