RMS at ProLight and Sound 2010
At the upcoming ProLight and Sound show, RMS will demonstrate some exiting new features of their well-established rental software, RMS25.
The first new feature is CrewCommunicator. This allows for easy planning and allocating of crew, both freelance and own staff. When allocating a crew member in RMS, the CrewCommunicator automatically sends an email containing a link to a webpage to the crew member. This webpage shows the job details, and allows the crewmember to respond whether he/she accepts the job, together with additional notes. The response is automatically processed by RMS. The webpage can be on the company's own website, or anywhere else and the layout of the webpage is customiseable by the end-user.
The next new feature is RFID and bar-coding. RMS25 now allows both RFID and bar-coding for checking items out and in. When using RFID, RMS can store the code of the RFID-tag into the database. When using RFID or barcodes, RMS will record which serial number of a specific item has been taken on a specific job.
Also new is the Multisites-option in RMS25. This option has been completely re-written. Together with an existing users, RMS has set up an installation with 22 sites, all over the world. Moving items between sites is very simple, and RMS keeps track
of all inventories, and can also make predictions of the various stocks, taking the upcoming stock moves from and to a site into account.
Finally, RMS will show a sneak preview of their future plans...
RMS will be on booth A58 in Hall 9.0.
