Live Production Network and PALME Europe is launching at The O2 Arena from 28 – 30 April 2013 and has unveiled its seminar programme with a call for papers from the industry.

Sally Davies, assistant general manager of The 02, AEG Europe explained: “AEG is pleased to welcome Informa and Live Production Network to London and The O2 Arena. This is a fantastic opportunity to share ideas with other professionals as well as hosting our own events in conjunction with Live Production Network / PALME Europe and their partners."

This unique show will be a Mecca for concert, touring and event production managers, venues, promoters, manufacturers of live and touring products, event services companies, experiential agencies and agents.

The exhibition will feature both indoor and outdoor exhibition areas, production showcase opportunities for exhibitors and visitors, stage set ups, innovation zones and three conference areas with high level education sessions. Entry will be free for live production professionals. The focus will be on creating high level networking opportunities, hosted buyer meets and hospitality environments for exhibitors. Uniquely the exhibition will enable manufacturers and suppliers to showcase products outdoors in real production situations.

The exhibition has opened its submission process to the industry to create a powerful and hard hitting conference programme in three separate seminar strands throughout the exhibition.

‘Production Insights’ will showcase best practice case studies from production and design experts who created many of the world’s leading productions. The ‘PSA Policy and Regulation Sessions’ will invite experts in their field to cover the need to know information, chaired by the PSA and ‘Technology Innovation Sessions’ with manufacturers invited to showcase innovations and demonstrate lighting, sound and audio visual products, explore the different design phases and plans for future development.

John Hill has been named as event director of Live Production Network and Palme Europe and will be bringing this show to fruition in its inaugural year. John’s background includes 20 years in the live music industry working on all sides from artist management to production. He will handle the conference planning and manage the direction of the exhibition, alongside the Informa exhibitions team.

John explains: “We are looking for the industry’s knowledge and experience to help shape the seminar and conference programme. Those looking to get involved can email conference@lpn-palme.eu to receive a submission form. The deadline for submissions is Friday 19 October.

The event is being organised by the world’s largest exhibition and conference organiser Informa and is designed to be a dedicated to the live production industry.
