Comic Relief does Glee Club and RML
The fund raising show has been so successful of recent years, that even if you never watched the series Glee, then you would still understand the concept of what it is about.
As part of Comic Relief or Sports Relief, CBBC cheeky chappies Sam and Mark, along with Naomi Wilkinson, present the all singing all dancing talent contest, in which groups performed in front of celebrity judges (vocal coaches David and Carrie Grant and choreographer Sisco Gomez) to be crowned the nation’s best young Glee Club. Those select few groups were whittled down through week of previous auditions held across the country.
Long standing LD Roger Williams designed the spectacular lighting show which was provided by Richard Martin Lighting (RML). The show is filmed at BBC Glasgow and is overseen by local company TSL and Tony Kennedy.
And what a light show it was! The vast and hugely exciting rig comprised of VL500’s, Atomic Strobes, Alpha Beam 700’s, Sharpy’s, Alpha Spot 700’s, Chroma Batten 50 kits and a whopping 35 Martin Mac Auras.
The Mac Aura is the first compact LED moving head wash light with zoom that offers never before seen, eye candy aura effect yet also functions as a highly capable single-lens wash with fully pre-mixed colour.
Comic Relief raised its highest amount of money this year and is already been put towards to changing the lives of so many people in the UK and Africa.
This year’s Glee Club winners were Resonate.
