Aurora Lights a Brand New Primetime Entertainment Show

Aurora Lighting Hire Ltd are providing an array of lighting equipment for a brand new show, ‘Your Face Sounds Familiar’.

Showing on Saturday nights on ITV which started on Saturday June 29, the show is hosted by funny man Paddy McGuinness and Alesha Dixon.

The show will see celebrities such as Bobby Davro, Denise Lewis and Alexander Armstrong perform as different music artists each week before a panel of judges, including Julian Clary and Emma Bunton. The celebrities will have to impersonate the music artists whilst singing and dancing. The celebrity with the most points at the end of the series will win a cash amount for a charity of their choice.

Lighting director Gurdip Mahal collaborated closely with set designer Patrick Watson to insure his lighting design seamlessly integrated with his impressive stage structure. Gurdip’s team featured operators Ross Williams, Ges Smith and Russ Grubiak. Gurdip commented: "It’s been great to be lighting a brand new show. On a project like this it’s a real team effort. I would like pay thanks to James Tinsley and his crew for all their hard work over recent weeks."

Nick Edwards, Aurora managing director concluded: "This project serves as a testament to our growing capabilities to service large ‘4-wall’ studios such as

George Lucas Stage. Significant investments this year have enabled us to supply production with full lighting facilities including tungsten, dimming and mains distribution systems largely from stock."
