Italy - With deep regret, the De Sisti Organization wishes to inform friends and customers that Mario De Sisti, their founder, passed away on Friday, October 31st 2014.

The lighting industry has lost a true pioneer, inventor, and ambassador. There was no one more charismatic or passionate about his family, business or the industry. Mario was highly dedicated and inhaled lighting with every breath. His enthusiasm and vigour was contagious.

Mario travelled the world and treated most of his friends as if they were family. There was no one with a bigger heart and higher level of excitement and dedication to the lighting industry.

The entire De Sisti Organization expresses its immense gratitude and admiration to Mario, for his genius of contribution and unrestful dedication to achieve prestigious results upon ever more innovative products and solutions for the worldwide professional lighting industry.

“We will all miss you Mario….there are not enough words known to us, or good enough, to express how much we will miss you.”

Mario’s sons Fabio and Sergio, on behalf of Mario and the De Sisti Organization wish to express to everyone their gratitude for past support of the company - and future endeavours together.

The funeral service will be held in the church of S.Antonio da Padova, via Merulana 124, 00185 in Rome on Monday October 3 at 11am.

"My childhood dream is to see the De Sisti company go on, expanding and increasing what I started in 1982."

"I wish my sons Fabio and Sergio will carry on all the projects, the thoughts, the dreams that we've made for a long, long time. I'm so proud to say that they'll give new strength and ideas to the company in many ways." (courtesy Millecanali)
