RATstands’ new website embraces 21st century web technology

UK - Professional and amateur musicians around the globe will be delighted to hear that leading UK music stand suppliers RATstands have re-launched their website with a new user-friendly facility in order to make choosing musical accessories even easier than before.

As a first-class destination for musicians around the globe, the UK-based company - which has recently enjoyed world-wide success - are now showcasing video demonstrations to allow musicians a better insight into their products. This includes the addition of detailed line drawings as well as comparison tables in order to simplify the choice when it comes to musicians’ selecting a new music stand and accessories.

General manager of RATstands Glenn Chapman said: “ is a showroom for musicians and industry professionals world-wide. As such, it represents the much-lauded luxurious and practical design characteristics we seek to achieve from our products.

“When all is said and done, you might say ‘RATstands are a company which simply produces music stands’, and to a certain extent that’s true, but when you see the level of detail in our bullish global sales strategies, extensive product design process and the determination of our staff, I believe our new website demonstrates exactly why we are the leading suppliers in this field.”

Since their inception in 1976 RATstands has gone on to secure a place at the top of the sector in commissioned illuminated music stands and accessories. More than 500 opera houses, theatres, concert halls and civic centres around the world now perform with the aid of RATstands equipment and assistance.

The company itself has enjoyed unprecedented success in recent years, doubling its staffing levels within 18 months and moving to larger premises in Witham, Essex.

RATstands products, meanwhile, are renowned for their strength, stability and superb lighting qualities. An additional bonus is their ease in stacking and storage. The stands themselves are supplied in a range of finishes with the option of additional fixed lighting for ease of use. Because they are also height adjustable the stands are suitable for a range of ages from youths up to adults.

Modern-day stand accessories include trays, windcheaters, instrument holders, microphone booms and trolleys. There are also flight cases and gig bags for musicians on the move. The company’s Radio DMX control system, which also includes the addition of modern and energy-saving LED lighting, adds a more modern and dramatic touch to performances.
