John Hornby Skewes receives MIA Lifetime Achievement Award

UK - At the recent Music Industry Association Awards Ceremony in London, JHS & Co. Ltd. chairman John Hornby Skewes was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Building the company up from scratch along with his wife Madge back in 1965, John Skewes’ hard work, perseverance and business-savvy has turned JHS into the largest independent supplier of musical merchandise, pro audio and accessories in the UK, and even now at the age of 82, he still takes an active role in the day to day running of the company.

This is the second award to coincide with JHS’ Golden Jubilee, as earlier this year John Skewes was presented with the Music Teacher Magazine’s Editor’s Award in recognition of sterling services to the music education sector over the last 50 years.
