Who Dares Wins
UK – When the National Lottery began way back in 1994, the nation became all the more optimistic that one day they might have a taste of glamour and luxury, as each Saturday, those with a lucky ticket could win over a million pounds!
Since then the concept has developed and not only are there numerous prize draws there are also National Lottery shows, including Who Dares Wins.
The prime-time Saturday night quiz show, hosted by Nick Knowles, sees two teams of complete strangers compete by completing a series of lists. The team who names more correct answers on a list gets the chance to play – and win £50,000!
Martin Kempton has lit the show for a number of years, with the help of Richard Martin Lighting (RML). The set and grand design of the show doesn’t make it easy to make changes or freshen up the look. However when RML announced last autumn the investment in the new Vari-Lite VL4000 Spot, Martin knew this was the perfect new fixture for him!
“The VL4000 Spot includes all the tools needed to create dynamic and useful lighting on any stage. Every aspect of the luminaire has been designed with performance in mind,” he said.
With low ambient noise, high lumen output, amazing optics and a full feature set anything is possible on stage. It is packed full of all the features expected from a profile luminaire.
In addition to the VL4000 Spots the vast lighting rig includes: VL1000TS, VL2404, Stage Zoom 1200s, VL3000 Wash, Mac 250, Mac 500, Mac 600, Mac 2000 Performance, Mac 600, Mini Macs, Nova Flowers, Chroma Banks, Pixel Brick kits, Chroma Flood, Pixel Par 90 and Alex Followspot.
Who Dares Wins is aired each week on BBC1 and also includes Thunderball, Lotto Draws and Lotto Plus 5 results, live from Lottery HQ.
