Expansion for Showforce’s Business Development Division
UK & Middle East – Two experienced events professionals have been appointed to strengthen and consolidate the business development team at Showforce, the global provider of event crew and technicians.
Claire Gilligan joins as business development manager whilst Anya Roszkowiak has been promoted to business development director from her current role as operations manager. Together, Claire and Anya will explore all avenues for new business, both in the UK and internationally, as Showforce operate globally from offices in UK, UAE and Qatar.
Having spent the past 12 years specialising in theatre and live entertainment, Claire has extensive international sales experience and is relishing the challenge of working with Showforce. “I’ve been fortunate enough to live and work in some of the world’s most well-known cities, installing lighting for projects including touring operas, highly renowned musicals and technical trade shows,” said Claire. “My background means I’m acutely aware of the logistics behind major events so I am confident I will be able to source varied opportunities to place our talented crew teams.”
Working closely alongside the marketing division, one of Claire and Anya’s initial tasks is to ensure all existing customers are aware of Showforce’s full portfolio of services, which includes event crew, technical staff, production HR, event staff and ‘man and van’, as well as targeting new sectors for business growth.
“This is a really exciting time for Showforce as we look to grow the business with commissions for large scale, globally recognised events,” explains Anya. “During my time overseeing the operations team, I have worked in the ‘engine room’ of Showforce and believe this experience working directly with crew teams and customers, has given me a thorough understanding of how the business operates, which will undoubtedly prove useful as we look to increase our service offering.”
Both Claire and Anya will be based at Showforce’s London office in Stratford and report to operations director, Chris Martelly. “2015 has started positively for Showforce with the opening and closing ceremonies of a major sporting event in Qatar and Cisco Live already under our belts. In addition the team has also worked in arenas, theme parks, outdoor race circuits, shop windows, parades and even on stage in the first few months of the year!
“The restructure of the business development division and appointment of Claire and Anya will not only ensure we continue to win work in unusual and prestigious locations but will also provide a renewed focus for our overall growth plans as we endeavour to expand our client base across the UK, Europe and Middle East.”
