UAE – J&C Joel is supporting the Joining Jack Legends team as it takes part in the Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens tournament.

Joining Jack is a charity which raises funds for vital research into Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. It was set up by Rugby League star Andy Johnson and his wife Alex after their son Jack was diagnosed with the life-shortening muscle-wasting condition in 2011.

This will be the fourth time the squad, featuring some of the most famous names from both rugby codes, has been to the prestigious event as part of Joining Jack’s ongoing battle to raise money and awareness in the fight to find a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

J&C Joel is a sponsor of the Joining Jack Legends team at the event which takes place from Thursday, 1st December to Saturday, 3rd December.

J&C Joel’s CEO James Wheelwright said: “We’re extremely proud to be supporting Joining Jack at the Dubai 7s. It is an extremely worthy cause and something we felt strongly about getting involved in. Many of us here J&C Joel have children ourselves so this charity has touched our hearts.”

Commenting on J&C Joel’s support for Joining Jack, Alex Johnson said: “We’re delighted J&C Joel are sponsoring the Joining Jack Legends team at this year’s Dubai 7s tournament. Every penny counts towards achieving our aim of raising as much money as possible to fund vital research to find a cure for DMD.

“There are a number of research projects at the moment that are looking really promising and the money we raise from the tournament will go to research that is the most likely to result in a treatment reaching the patients as soon as possible.

“We couldn’t do this without the help of the players and our sponsors, they put a lot time and effort in to help us and we are so thankful to them all for their support.”
