QMOTION to Showcase Honeycomb Shades at ISE

The Netherlands – QMotion will unveil its range of energy efficient Honeycomb shades on Stand, 1-M80 at ISE 2017. This new Honeycomb series not only broadens the aesthetic choice for interior design schemes, providing optimum shading with just a 4mm gap on either side, but can also be fully automated using QMotion’s QiS ZigBee, two-way solution for effortless control and integration as part of a whole house system.

Honeycomb shades maximise energy efficiency through cell-like fabric technology that keep spaces cool in the summer and warm in the winter. In addition to the elegant collection of low maintenance, functional and attractive fabrics for QMotion blinds, Honeycomb Shades are provided with one of nine colour co-ordinated headrail covers and bottom rails. Translucent and blackout fabrics for improved light control and privacy are available.

Installers can integrate blind control of these motorised shades seamlessly into a whole house or single room automation system, whilst simultaneously receiving accurate feedback on shade positioning for improved performance, remote monitoring and maintenance. Utilising ZigBee HA 1.2, QiS is easy to set up, configure and integrate with all compatible devices in a Control4 home automation system. Drivers are also available for easy integration with Vantage, Crestron, Savant, URC, RTI and other popular control platforms via a compact QMotion Qube integration device.

As with all QMotion blinds, Honeycomb Shades use the company’s patented counter balancing spring system which keeps motor power consumption to an absolute minimum and delivers near silent operation in every application. With QMotion's exclusive manual override feature, a slight tug on the bottom of the Honeycomb Shade will energise the motor and the shade will rise. Similarly, by pulling down on the automated shade, height can be adjusted manually.
