Electric String scoops top award for its ‘spectacular and innovative’ corporate installation
The Netherlands – Electric String is celebrating after picking up a prestigious industry award for its state-of-the-art, fully automated audio visual project with global marketing agency MullenLowe Group.
The Hull-based integrator of bespoke audio visual systems has been presented with the Best Corporate Installation Award in the annual Crestron Integration Awards, a celebration of amazing projects featuring Crestron technology.
Electric String provided MullenLowe Group, which counts Unilever and the Post Office as clients, with a fully integrated Crestron solution for its new headquarters – a converted carpet factory in the heart of East London’s Tech City by Old Street roundabout.
James Ward, director at Electric String, said: “It is such an honour for Electric String to receive this recognition in the Creston Integration Awards. It not only showcases our team and the efforts put into a very tricky installation, but also vindicates the methods we have put in place to handle a large, complex project such as this.”
“The only way that a project like this could be delivered within a limited timescale, while meeting the client’s needs, was to couple Electric String’s efficient working practices with Crestron’s best in class technology.”
The Crestron Integration Awards celebrate the achievements of the integrators, designers and partners that have embraced Crestron solutions in both residential and commercial projects across EMEA. This year's winners were announced at the awards ceremony on the Crestron stand at the 13th annual Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) show in Amsterdam.
Petra van Meeuwen, customer media relations director at Crestron, says: “Electric String managed to provide the end user with an end-to-end fully integrated Crestron solution within a very challenging time frame. To do this using Crestron’s best in class technology including Crestron’s award winning 4K DM technology in such a professional way really impressed the judges who unanimously agreed that Electric String should win the 2016 Crestron Integration Award in the Best Corporate Installation Category.”
Chris Romer-Lee, director at architect firm Studio Octopi, said: “Studio Octopi worked with client Mullen Lowe Group on a six-month programme to deliver a 46,000 sq ft CAT B fit-out on time and budget. The AV installation was extensive and complicated because of the various agencies all coming together in one building. Throughout the process Electric String was creative in suggesting kit that was both appropriate to the project’s aesthetic and innovative. Production of information and attendance on site were all exemplary. We would have no hesitation in putting them forward for future projects with the practice.”
