The group was originally called "Nameless" and was formed in Sarstedt, in 1965, by guitarist Rudolf Schenker and drummer Wolfgang Dziony. USA – Taking centre stage inside the Lakeland Center, the 2016 Miss Florida Scholarship Pageant showcased 48 contestants all vying for the opportunity to compete for the coveted title of Miss America. Held in conjunction with the Miss Florida Outstanding Teen Pageant, production designer Trenton Dick was once again working behind the scenes at Miss Florida, and was asked this year to build upon the previous pageants' LED video design. So with an expanded budget and some increased expectations, Dick decided to create three LED video walls for the event using FLEXLite Plus 6.9mm and FLEXCurtain HD 12.5mm LED video technology from Nashville-based PixelFLEX.

Germany – Jugend Forscht is the biggest youth science and technology competition in Europe. The event was created by the then editor-in-chief of Stern magazine, Henri Nannen, way back in 1965. Every year, in addition to the regional contests organized in the individual states, a national competition is held, which is the highlight of the event. It is contested by the young scientists and researchers who win the first prizes in the regional competitions. During the final, the best competitors are tested in the seven Jugend Forscht subject areas. This year there were 51 participants, and the contest was managed by the Jugend forscht e.V. Foundation, together with the Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum, Paderborn.

South Africa – Thankfully no one was injured in a massive fire which burnt down Durban Christian Centre in Mayville, KwaZulu Natal on the evening of 8th June. UK – Opening in 1997, Shakespeare’s Globe is a reconstruction of the Globe Theatre, an Elizabethan Playhouse in London which housed all of Shakespeare’s original works. Today, the theatre is dedicated to exploring Shakespeare’s work through both performance and education. Similar to the original productions, daytime performances within the venue have always used natural daylight, whilst evening shows use a broad wash of tungsten floodlighting. USA – Completed in January 2016, the Hynes Center in Mercedes, Texas, is a 15,000 square foot multi-purpose venue located in the Llano Grande Lake Park Resort. During the UEFA Champions Festival 2016, from 26th to 29th May, there was a whole host of entertainment, including meetings, exhibitions, shows and events. South Africa – Working as project manager for Afrikaans is Groot since its inception four years ago, Denzil Smith from MGG had always hoped that Joshua Cutts would some day step in as lighting designer for this slick, large-scale production. A busy schedule with many other prominent shows had prevented Josh from doing so previously. That is until the client, Coleske Artists, approved his suggestion to involve Christopher Bolton as a joint designer and thus split the load. They could work simultaneously on separate MA2 desks on the same network using 24 universes.

Spain – A.leda B-EYE K 10 equipment took part in the independent music festival held in Barcelona from 1st to 5th June, to brighten up the Beach Club spectacles, the Primavera Sound’s new environment. ARA SO was responsible for lighting the last Primavera Sound edition. Visitors enjoyed 18 hours of music without interruption, where highlighted international artists such as Jessy Lanza, Helena Hauff, Floating Points, Powell, Mano Le Tough, Leon Vynehall, DJ Richard and IF stood out.
