Stage|Set|Scenery expands its portfolio and in 2017 partners with Gesellschaft der Kostümschaffenden (GTKos) for the first time
Germany – Gesellschaft der Kostümschaffenden (GTKos) has become the partner of Stage|Set|Scenery, the leading international trade show and conference for theatre, film and event technology. GTKos provides a platform for everyone involved in the costume-making profession at theatres in German-speaking countries and acts as a network for the various costume departments of theatres and those in the costume-making profession.
Juliane Trempler, the project leader of Stage|Set|Scenery said: “Stage|Set|Scenery aims to provide a marketplace and joint platform for exchanging knowledge and networking to all the skilled trades working behind the scenes. Our partnership with GTKos underlines that aim.”
Monika Gora, board member of GTKos, added: “The fact that we can hold our AGM at Stage|Set|Scenery is an added bonus for this event. It gives us an opportunity to cultivate relations with our suppliers, meet new ones, and to make new and unexpected discoveries.”
From 20th to 22nd June the costume-makers’ conference will take place at Palais am Funkturm. Topics will include dyeing/costume design, props/wardrobes, robe making, costume designs, costume management, women’s hat making as well as production management, tailoring and shoe making.
Companies, schools, universities and training institutions with an emphasis on costume-making will be able to exhibit in the passageway between Halls 20 and 21. Fully-equipped stands are on offer which meet the needs of smaller companies representing this profession. State-run schools and universities can host displays free of charge.
