Bandit Brings the Lighting to IEBA Annual Conference
USA – The International Entertainment Buyers Association (IEBA) held its annual conference 15th - 17th October at the Omni Nashville and the Country Music Hall of Fame. Bandit Lites worked with the team at Chris Lisle Lighting Design to provide lighting for the weekend, where keynote speakers were musician and actor Ice-T and the head of William Morris Endeavor’s music division, Marc Geiger.
As the leading non-profit trade organisation for live entertainment industry professionals who buy, book, and sell talent, IEBA’s conference featured educational panels highlighting safety plans and best practices along with new marketing technologies. Additionally, attendees were also treated to live talent showcases.
“We see around 40 bands of varying genres over the three-day event, so our direction is to make it pretty and run with the feel of the music,” said lighting designer Mark Anderson.
Anderson supplemented the in-house rig with a lighting package provided by Bandit Lites with VL 25000 Spots topping ten-foot towers along with Bandit’s exclusive GRNLite Par 64s for truss toners and GRNLite Moving Washes as floor lighting.
“Due to cost concerns, we do not use any rigging or haze for this show,” said Anderson. “Bandit provided a great ground based rig that still provided impact in a no haze situation.”
Bandit also supplied general lighting for the soiree including GRNLite LED battens and GRNLite Washes for lounge décor.
“As always, Bandit took great care of us,” Anderson finished. “Brent Barrett and project manager Jimmy Hatten are on top of the details on the front end and always take care of our last-minute requests. Having lighting tech Scott Sepe on-site with us meant that we didn’t have to worry about the plan being executed.”
