Doughty looks forward to another successful PLASA Focus
UK – A new Pole Operated Yoke is set to be the star attraction on the Doughty Engineering stand at this year's PLASA Focus show in Leeds. Visitors to stand N-C25 will also get the opportunity to see a wide range of items on display, including the hugely popular Space Saver which has taken social media by storm and the latest addition to the Atom Clamp family, the Atom G Clamp.
Julian Chiverton, sales director at Doughty commented: "We're looking forward to another successful year at PLASA Focus and to receiving some useful feedback on some of our latest products."
The Pole Operated Yoke is modular in design and as such can be made exactly to customer specification from existing stock, hence a quick turnaround between order and delivery. Designed to stretch and shorten to fit any sized light, the yoke is fitted to a light with two cups which pan and tilt, and being pole operated, this enables the operator to make any adjustments from the ground, taking away the need to have ladders cluttering up the set and posing potential safety hazards.
The new Atom-G Clamp – the latest addition to the popular Atom Clamp family – has been designed specifically for architectural luminaires while the Space Saver, a nifty new piece of kit which allows a clamp or spigot to be permanently fitted to a luminaire or projector and folded into a storage position to save space is set to be a major talking point on the stand. "We're excited to see what people think of the Space Saver in Leeds. When we posted a demo video on Facebook earlier this year, response was phenomenal; to date it's received over 40,000 views but as with all things, the proof of the pudding is in the sampling and we hope that people come and have a bit of a play around with it for themselves and let us know what they think,"said Julian.
He concluded: "Feedback is essential to our R&D team and we look forward to gathering opinion on the yoke, the Space Saver and of course all our other pieces of kit as well as finding out what other products are on our customers' wish list that we have the potential to develop."
