Bandit Lights East Tennessee Business Hall of Fame Induction
USA – The East Tennessee Business Hall of Fame held its annual awards dinner to honour outstanding business leaders and entrepreneurs whose work has contributed to the improvement of the East Tennessee area. In addition to celebrating the honourees, the event also raised money to support Junior Achievement’s financial literacy programs for students in the region. Bandit Lites donated the lighting packages for the elegant affair whose honourees included Mary Ellen Brewington, John and Sondra Faris and Justice Wade.
Bandit Lites supplied more than 100 fixtures for the event, transforming the Knoxville Marriott Hotel into a stunning space with deep, opulent mood lighting. Martin MAC 2000 Performances used custom Junior Achievement gobos for branding, while Bandit’s exclusive GRNLite Movers provided front and ceiling wash. GRNLite LED PARs acted as truss toners and uplit the walls along with Spandex triangles on upstage truss. VL 2500 Spots illuminated the lectern while Chauvet Freedom pars lit the lobby area.
“Lighting Director Alex Becker has a vision and makes it happen,” said Bandit Lites production manager Allison Burchett. “Michael and I give general direction, and Alex takes that and just runs with it. He does an incredible job.”
In addition to the scenic lighting around the ballroom, towers of truss adorned with VL 2500s were placed along the main stage.
“The East Tennessee Business Hall of Fame is one that is very close to Bandit’s heart,” Burchett added, noting Bandit Lites chair and founder, Michael T. Strickland’s own induction into the Hall of Fame in 2008. “Several employees of Bandit have also participated in Junior Achievement (Michael and myself included) back when we were in school, so we are immensely happy to support JA.”
