Universal Live Invests in Next Generation Hippotizer Plus Video Control Solutions via A.C. Entertainment Technologies

UK – Audio-Visual solutions provider, Universal Live Ltd has added two cutting-edge Green Hippo Hippotizer V4 Boreal+ media servers to its hire stock, to provide its clients with the most advanced video solutions to fulfil their technical and creative needs on its latest AV projects.

Universal Live has been delivering world-class event production to the live events industry for over 28 years, specialising in sound, lighting, vision, set and stage, power and content creation, working in partnership with its clients to deliver outstanding events.

Universal Live approached A.C. Entertainment Technologies (AC-ET) Ltd's video sales division to discuss the latest available video technology. AC-ET recommended the Hippotizer+ video control solution.

Commenting on this state-of-the-art equipment Neil Clappison, commercial manager at Universal Live said: "With its latest product range, Green Hippo has really considered the future of where video integration is going, and responded with an all-round technically impressive solution which can handle the video control needs of AV projects both today and well into the future."

With its ample processing power and four DVI outputs each capable of delivering up to 3840 x 1200 resolution, the Boreal+ dual-link DVI server was ideal for Universal Live’s technical needs and budget. The company's two Boreal+ servers are available for hire and have already been proving themselves on major retail and corporate events.

AC-ET's video sales manager, Stuart Burdett, who managed the supply commented: "Hippotizer is ideal for projects such as these featuring lots of displays of different sizes, as the VideoMapper software component allows users to scale a mix of video layers across multiple LED displays, even if the LED panels are different pixel pitches, sizes and orientations."

Universal Live’s operations director, Ben Phillips concluded: "At Universal Live we continually strive to ensure that our clients' video requirements are met above and beyond their expectations. Investing in Hippotizer Boreal+ enables us to do just that and coupled with our technical knowledge allows us to deliver smooth, ultra-high resolution video playback across multiple displays. A.C’s support throughout has been second to none on both technical know-how and service. Following our purchase, we have showcased the Boreal+ servers at an event attended by 4,000 people and we are positive that we made the right choice."
