Electrosonic at Thunder Valley Casino
Under a joint partnership, Stations Casinos and the United Auburn Indian Community opened Thunder Valley Casino in June of 2003. After the first six months of operation, Thunder Valley has become one of the top grossing Indian casinos in the country. Located just a few miles outside Sacramento, the 200,000-square-foot casino brings the world-class styling of a Las Vegas Casino to Central California. In addition to 1,906 slot machines, 94 table games and a multi-purpose Bingo room, the Casino has a high-limit VIP gaming room, a full-service bar, an upscale Asian restaurant, a food court, a 24-hour café and a steakhouse.
To support this world-class Casino, a state-of-the-art audio, video, and control system was engineered and installed by Electrosonic. Because of the physical size of the casino, equipment is distributed via fiber optic interconnections to five control rooms located throughout the facility. Multiple Crestron touch screens integrated directly into the architecture control the 50+ plasma displays. A multi channel digital playback system feeds over 800 speakers divided into 30 individually controlled zones. The parking lot alone consists of over 250 speakers that set the mood when guest enter the property.
Like many major casinos, this project was successfully completed on a very fast paced schedule. Perini Building Company managed the project as general contractor. As a subcontractor to Cupertino Electric, Inc., Electrosonic served as the audiovisual and control systems engineering contractor for the entire project. Direct AV performed the installation on the project under contract to Electrosonic. PMK Consultants of Las Vegas designed the system.
