First AudioPro SSL AWS 900 Analogue Workstation Sale
With the ink barely dry on the AWS 900 Analogue Workstation distribution contract between AudioPro International, Inc. and Solid State Logic, AudioPro has announced its first Canadian sale to Digital Creative Services. Owned and operated by composer/producer Robert Rettberg, Digital Creative Service will focus on work from CTV Network TV shows, scoring, mixing, creating stock music libraries and mastering with the AWS 900 as the centerpiece of the facility.
“The AWS 900 will help facilitate quick recall and remixes because of the digital control surface, while the analog portion of the console is great for multiple mic sessions,” says Rettberg. “With the AWS 900, we get the best of both worlds alleviating the need to have two workstations. I have been waiting for a console like this for almost 10 years. I believe that this will be one of the world's greatest selling audio products because the world is integrating large studios into small studios and this fits the bill for any production facility private or commercial. I've been using SSL consoles for years, and I know the sound and the feel is all there with the AWS 900.”
Rob Rettberg is an award-winning composer, recording engineer and producer. He’s responsible for the music on over 700 television programs and documentaries on all the major networks in North America from ABC’s Wide World of Sports to Canada’s Canada AM on CTV, Miss Canada, Miss Teen Canada, Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, CNN, All My Children, ETalk, CTV news, MSNBC, BBC News, Fox Sports and Discovery Network. Additionally, Rettberg owns The Other Studio in Los Angeles.
“We are very excited to have realized a sale of the AWS 900 so quickly,” says Rick Schoustal, a principal partner of AudioPro International. “As we predicted when we signed up to distribute this product, the AWS 900 will become a key player in a multitude of production situations throughout Canada. The major studios and top recording artists love the SuperAnalogue sound of the XL 9000 K series console. The AWS 900 allows the smaller facility to work with this high level audio quality, greatly enhancing the final productions for TV, film and CD/DVD releases.”
