Outstanding Images from JVC's Plug-n-Play Digital Presenter
Ideal for schools, training centres, lecture halls, courtrooms, scientific presentations and product demonstrations, the JVC AV-P960 digital presenter consists of a high resolution camera on a moveable and extendable free stop arm, mounted over a stage with two lights.
Connected as a plug-and-play package to any high resolution projector, this lightweight presenter produces high-impact presentations with the perfect clarity of XGA images.
With the ability to be operated from a PC by USB, the new AV-P960 offers the benefits of being able to give presentations using computer based Powerpoint as well as enabling audience participation for a high
impact presentation.
With an XGA display (1,024 x 768 pixels) of notebook quality, high contrast text, still and video images, the AVP-960's in-built camera can capture images to its own memory or SD memory card with its high-precision 1/3-inch 850,000 pixel progressive scan CCD.
The camera is on an extendable arm which has a swiveling head and close-up integrator. Images can be magnified up to 48 times when the 12x optical zoom is used in combination with the 4x digital zoom. Never before has it been so easy to display items of widely varying sizes - from small 35-mm slides to large A3 size documents - with clear and consistent results.
For improved legibility, the presenter comes complete with a ‘clear character’ mode which increases the contrast of letters and symbols for a clearer, sharper display.
The rotation of 3D objects or the action of writing on to a document can be smoothly captured and displayed at 20 fps (frames per second) video rate. A built-in SD card-slot lets the user take advantage of removable large capacity SD cards for recording and playing back of pictures. Search and retrieval of the images is instant. When a PC is connected to a USB interface, the images stored in the AV-P960's built-in memory or SD card can be transferred to the PC for storage and processing. The AV-P960 comes complete with USB cable and CD-ROM with control software for Windows XP, which can also be downloaded from the JVC website. Also included is JVC proprietary software utility for converting external digital images to the JVC file format.
The AV-P960 also has flexibility of built-in memory where it can store up to three different images and display them simultaneously side-by-side with another image that is captured in real time.
The superb image quality and versatile functions of the AV-P960 presenter assure first-class presentations when connected to a high-resolution projector. Security is also a benefit as the AV-P960 has a light and compact body, weighing only 5 kilograms and is a slim 500mm in depth. It can be locked away or stored when not in use and retrieved for plug-and-play use.
The AV-P960 can be operated by a hand held wireless remote control. The control panel is situated at the front of the unit and is clear and easy to use, even for the most demanding user.
