Soundweb Designer Gets Further Upgrade with Whiseworks
The established and widely acclaimed Soundweb Designer software from BSS Audio has been enhanced with the release of Version 1.50. Simultaneously launched alongside the new Soundweb London networked programmable DSP system, Designer V1.50 demonstrates BSS Audio's commitment to providing a choice of DSP systems for customers.
Designer V1.50 brings two new features to the control software suite: stereo matrix objects and the inclusion of Whiseworks - NTM (Neville Thiele Method) filters in the DSP crossover devices. These filters have been rapidly accepted for their ability to get better results from a loudspeaker system that had been unobtainable with conventional crossover filters. The new filters provide a steeper roll-off slope and consequently allow loudspeaker drivers to be used to a greater part of their operating range. The filter was used most effectively with JBL's VerTec system on the recent European leg of the Metallica tour.
Designer V1.50 is available for download from www.bss.co.uk, or on CD from any BSS distributor worldwide. Further information on the new filters is also available on the BSS Audio website.
