Valdis Dauksts Named General Manager of XL Touring
John Wiseman, president of XL Touring Video, has announced that Valdis Dauksts has been promoted to general manager of XL Touring.
Dauksts brings to XL Video 30 years of experience in concert touring and production around the world. He has worked extensively in staging, lighting and production capacities. His experience spans several media cultures including fashion, live theatre, corporate events, massive outdoor events (such as the Papal visit in Central Park) and large concert tours. His clients have included Bruce Allen Talent, MTV, Radio City Music Hall, VH1, Merv Griffin Productions and many more.
During the 1980’s Dauksts was vice president of lighting at Nocturne Productions; his tenure there paralleled large growth and increased sophistication in the company’s lighting business. Valdis also served as general manager of Fourth Phase / Light and Sound Design in Newbury Park, CA. Having delivered high production values to countless applications on every continent, Valdis brings a unique perspective - as well as skill set - to the XL Touring staff.
