Altman Receives LDI Product of the Year Award for Smart Track
Altman Lighting was awarded the LDI 2005 Lighting/Architecture Product of the Year for their Smart Track Lighting System.
The Smart Track Lighting System is a revolutionary way to bring digital control signals to addressable architectural luminaires without the need for dimmer packs and bulky cable runs. Altman’s patent pending Smart Track consists of a three-circuit track with DMX control built right in. This allows you to control Altman’s Smart IQseries luminaires without the need for cabling and remote dimmers. With onboard dimming and control, you can easily control Altman’s quartz, CDM, and LED IQseries luminaires with this system. You can mix and match source types on this track, even on the same circuit. With its DMX Adapter, you can break out DMX for controlling automated lights and other DMX-based lighting products, so you do not need to run unsightly control cables to the lights.
“We are pleased and honored that the LDI judges recognized our Smart Track system with the Product of the Year Award,” says Robert Altman, CEO/president of Altman Lighting. “At the show, we met with many designers, consultants, and specifiers who were really intrigued with the Smart Track and discussed the many exciting applications that they have for this product. Our sales and engineering teams had many interesting conversations with end-users and specifiers. Overall, it was a very good show for Altman.” The Altman Smart Track system was awarded a product award at the 2005 Lightfair show, when it was introduced.
Whether using simple architectural control stations, a laptop, or a DMX-based theatrical lighting console, you are in control with Smart Track. For total flexibility you can choose your protocol. Simply combine the system with a standard analog or DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) architectural control panel, a laptop PC for control of DMX or DALI signals, or a DMX-based theatrical lighting console in order to create, store, and control lighting scenes. When using RDM (Remote Device Management) you can get feedback from the luminaires and you can remotely address each individual unit. Altman Smart Track is easy to layout, install and offers you the opportunity to easily create and activate new lighting scenes time after time, all at a cost effective price. This aesthetically pleasing three-circuit DMX track is a good solution f or any lighting application where appearance and versatility are important.
Smart Track’s unique features make it the ideal solution for many applications. The system is suitable for retail stores, museums, churches, restaurants, clubs, and much more.
