Martin, Mach and Jem at Pro Light + Sound 2005
Martin Professional will be at this year’s Pro Light+ Sound exhibition in Frankfurt with a full ensemble of new lighting, sound and fog effects. On display at Martin stand B25/B35 in Hall 9.0 will be a 250-watt Fresnel washlight in the new MAC 250 Series of moving heads, the MAC 250 Wash. Also on display will be a stage version of the popular Cyclo fluorescent color changer, as well as updated versions of the Maxedia Digital Media Composer and Maxxyz lighting console. The flexible Xciter lighting controller has also received significant upgrades. Two new Ego series lights with DMX control will be shown, as well as new Mania series effects. Also, the popular Wizard effect light has been improved.
Mach speakers will be showing its new and comprehensive C-Range of installation speakers while Jem smoke displays its new multi-headed Hydra fog system, an updated version of the powerful AF fan, and the Magnum 1500, a portable yet powerful smoke machine wrapped in Martin’s Mania series design.
The MAC 250 Wash is the new 250-watt washlight in Martin’s MAC 250 Series. Equipped with important advancements like remarkably efficient reflector technology for greater output, extraordinarily fast and quiet movement, a variable frost filter for zoom effect, and a CMY color mixing system with a complementing color wheel, the MAC 250 Wash is the ideal accompaniment to the Martin Krypton and Entour profile spots.
Stage Cyclo is a unique full color mixing luminaire specially designed for installation in theatres and television studios with the flexibility and road-worthiness to be hung and re-hung on a regular basis like regular touring products. Stage Cyclo features four 54W high output fluorescent tubes in red, green, blue and white with the same full color mixing capabilities found in the top of the range Cyclo fixtures from Martin Architectural.
The Maxedia Digital Media Composer has received a host of user requested updates that reinforce its position as the industry’s most user friendly digital media server. Version 2.0 includes a new and intuitive graphical user interface, improved output resolution, keystoning and framing, live camera support, a Media Manager, extended Media Library, revised DMX protocol, updated digital file playback support, and more.
The popular Maxxyz lighting console has undergone a series of significant improvements to make it even more state of the art. Updates in version 1.5 include a complete PATCH revision, an overall speed upgrade, extended Preset functions, extended Copy commands, a number of Chase command revisions such as Chase Tap Sync/Learn timing, Chase Multipart timings, Chase directions, and more.
A new software upgrade for Xciter, Martin’s multi layer embedded controller, includes increased functionality to make it more powerful both in programming and playback while at the same time making it even more intuitive and easy to use. The upgrade allows user to save more shows, combine any patch with any show, auto patch fixtures (patch multiple fixtures at once), auto patch dimmers and more. Also, a complete training DVD is now available covering all of Xciter’s features making introduction and usage a breeze.
The 250-watt Ego X5 is a one-of-a-kind, DMX controllable deco effect that projects a varying barrage of all new psychedelic patterns. Its bright output and razor sharp images add a unique element to any show, club or party. It also features 12 inbuilt macros (slow, medium and fast) to get users started fast. Top quality projection optics combines with a precise manual focus adjustment to produce extremely sharp and detailed projections. Also included is a variable strobe effect with 0–100% digital dimming.
The Ego X6 is a highly unique 250-watt light that projects colorful flower effects unlike any other effect light, and with DMX controlled simplicity. This powerful deco effect light houses an effect wheel packed with new textured glass designs, as well as a combined color/twinkle effect that features new decoration and projection designs. The textured glass wheel adds depth and life to each gobo pattern. It also features 12 inbuilt macros (slow, medium and fast) to get users started fast.
The Mania SCX500 is an extraordinary new 150-watt halogen scanner in the Martin Mania series that challenges the status quo of mobile scanners. Stunningly powerful, brilliant effects are produced from separate color and gobo wheels. With 15 gobos plus open, 15 rich colors including white and 5 mixed colors, the SCX500 powers out shows like larger scanners but with all the convenience and savings of its class. A split color option adds to the SCX500’s array of colors with midair effects that will keep them focused on the show.
The Mania DC3 is the third dazzling decoration fixture in the Martin Mania series. Its funky oil wheel images and psychedelic decoration effects create a distinctively cool atmosphere, perfect for a wide variety of decorative lighting purposes. For further funk possibilities, gobos can be easily placed in the DC3 to frame the oil wheel image, thus creating a variety of shapes and providing even more depth to the projection.
The ultimate in club effect lighting, the Wizard Extreme, just got better. Stunningly brilliant reflection and wild gobo patterns have been added to one of the industry’s most popular effect lights to push out every ounce of power! Improved focus control and a more efficient reflector combine with pumping new gobo designs to keep the Wizard Extreme planted firmly in the 21st Century.
The Mach C-Range is a comprehensive and highly innovative range of top quality speakers for installation applications. Co-designed by contractors for contractors, the C-Range is a breakthrough in installation speaker design and extraordinarily easy installation. It includes the CI Series of molded speakers for in-fill applications; CN Series for natural sound reproduction in near field applications; CM Series of dedicated top boxes for medium throw applications; and the CW Series of subwoofers.
The Mach 20.04 is a state-of-the-art, 2 Input 4 Output digital speaker management controller suited for 2, 3 and 4-way speaker management, channel distribution and room EQ. This digital circuitry is based on DSP technology and comes equipped with the latest 24-bit A-D and D-A converters. With up to 200 manufacturer definable presets, the 20.04 may be used across a number of different pre-defined speaker set ups.
Jem’s new Hydra fog system is the perfect fog solution for themed environments, large clubs or any area that requires a fog effect delivered from multiple locations. The intelligent Hydra system eliminates the need to purchase multiple fog machines by allowing users to control up to 16 fog heads from one conveniently located base unit.
The AF-2 Fan is a more powerful updated version of Jem’s industry standard AF-1 fan. Useful in a variety of environments including clubs, studios, theatres and touring applications, the AF-2 is both rugged and well designed. Easily truss mounted or floor positioned, the AF-2 can be remote or DMX controlled. Compact and extremely powerful, it can be used alone or as part of a complete fog system by linking with other Jem machines.
