Adamson Y10s for Healthcare Awards Ceremony

The gala event honored three Toledo-based hospitals that are members of Mercy Health Partners. St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, St. Charles Mercy Hospital and St. Anne Mercy Hospital were each the recipient of a Distinguished Hospital Award, presented by J.D. Power and Associates. The award recognizes hospitals that consistently provide service excellence and an outstanding patient experience.

The dinner and awards presentations were followed by Grammy award-winning artist Sheena Easton, whose performance in the 900-seat restored auditorium of the Valentine was a highlight of the evening.

An array of 10 Adamson Y-Axis Y10 enclosures per side were employed for the corporate event, with front-end system processing utilizing XTA loudspeaker management DSPs and Lake Mesa Quad EQs.

Great Lakes sound technician Cliff Fuller handled FOH duties behind a Midas Verona 40 x 8 x 8 console, with Easton’s own monitor engineer providing her mix from a Midas Heritage 3000. “It's always a treat to work on the Y10 rig,” said Cliff Fuller. “Having never mixed Ms. Easton, not having to deal with system inadequacies was a big plus. Staying alert and listening critically to a responsive and accurate system is always more fun than work!”

The 10s have been an excellent line array choice for us,” said Todd Mitchell, production consultant for Great Lakes Sound. “Due to the flexibility that we need to maintain, the ‘10s perform well every time. We will be using the Y10s for a variety of local and regional festival dates, concerts and corporate events in 2005.”
