The charity tournament, to be held Monday, 13th June, at the Malibu Country Club, will celebrate a decade-long tradition of camaraderie and generosity for hearing health and other causes.
Presented by the Mix Foundation for Excellence in Audio, the tournament is a favorite fundraiser of Southern California’s pro sound community. Proceeds of the event benefit hearing conservation efforts of the House Ear Institute’s Sound Partners program, music education programs of the nonprofit, SoundArt, and scholarships for students of the audio arts and sciences.

Production facilities including Record Plant, The Village, and Warner Brothers Studios, as well as Mix Magazine, are also contributing generously with sponsorships.
The lucky golfer who hits a hole-in-one will win an Acura TL provided by South Bay Acura of Torrance, featuring an ELS 5.1 sound system from Panasonic. Following the tournament, there will be a barbecue dinner, a raffle and a silent auction featuring a wide assortment of donated audio equipment and other items. Audio gear includes: a McDSP Channel G plug-in; microphones from Audio-Technica and Shure; an Apogee Electronics MINI-MP; JBL- LSR25P monitors; and a Lexicon Omega Studio. A Taylor “Big Baby” will also be up for grabs, along with a 25th Anniversary TC Electronic SCF guitar pedal, a BOSE Wave radio and assorted gift-packages that include club green fees at the Malibu Country Club, dinner at NY Marriott Marquis restaurants, assorted wines, gourmet food and cosmetics from http://www.essentialspirit.net.
“This event has always had a great spirit about it," says tournament director, Karen Dunn. “And with the resounding enthusiasm and support of our sponsors and golfers for our 10th anniversary, we’re anticipating another fun day in support of causes that concern us all.”
